Login & Account Setup

Q: How do I log into the Ambyint platform?

A: For IO users: Go to portal.ambyint.io



Q: I never received or completed my login invite. What should I do?

A: Here are some steps you can try:

  • Login invitations can expire.

  • Go to the User Menu (IO) or Manage Users (COM) and click Resend Invite / Reinvite User.

  • If you still don’t see it, check your spam folder. If missing, your organization’s firewall may be blocking emails.


Q: How do I reset my password?

A: Here are some steps you can try:

  • Go to the login page and click Forgot Password.

  • Enter your email and follow the reset link sent to you.

  • If the reset email does not arrive, support can generate a direct reset link. Example:

    • Verify setup: https://portal.ambyint.com/#/verify/{inviteKey}

    • Reset password: https://portal.ambyint.com/#/password-reset/{inviteKey}


Q: What if login emails are still being blocked?

A: Here are some steps you can try:

  • Check with your IT team—emails may be blocked by your firewall.

  • Ambyint Support can confirm email delivery in Datadog logs (service: auth0 or com-user-service).

  • If blocked, Support can create a Jira card for a one-time reset link.


Navigation & Basic Use

Q: How do I assign a device to a well?

A: To assign a device to a well:

  1. Log into portal.ambyint.com.

  2. Go to Admin → Devices.

  3. Enter the device Serial Number in the search bar.

  4. Select the device → press the orange Ambyint symbol → Assign to Well.

  5. Reload the page to confirm assignment.


Q: How do I add a new well?

A: To add a new well: 

  1. In the portal, go to My Account → Organization → Add Well.

  2. Enter: Country, State, API Number, Well Name, Field Name, Latitude & Longitude.

  3. Leave Unit Type as Pumpjack.

  4. Confirm and click Finish.


Q: How do I bulk upload multiple wells?

A: To upload multiple wells:

  • Use the Bulk Insert function under Admin → Organization → Well Setup.

  • Prepare CSVs for Well Setup, Deviation Survey, and Rod String Design.

  • Upload in batches of 50 wells at a time.


Q: How do I update device communication settings (e.g., switch from SAT to WIFI)?

A: To update your device communication settings:

  • Go to Admin → Devices → Edit → Config Device.

  • Select WiFi Config, enter either SSID/Password (Dynamic IP) or Static IP details.

  • Save and wait for the device to reboot.

  • Confirm communication status updates on the device page.


Q: How do I update device firmware (OTA updates)?

Troubleshooting

Q: Why can’t I log in even after resetting my password?

A: Here are some reasons you might not be able to login:

  • The email may be blocked by your firewall.

  • Ask your IT to whitelist Ambyint emails.

  • Contact Support if you need a one-time reset link.


Q: Why isn’t my device communicating with the platform?

A: Common causes are: power issues, antenna loose, wiring errors, or expired configuration.

  • First steps:

    • Check power is 5.5V.

    • Ensure antenna is secure.

    • Reboot the device (power off 15 minutes).
